## DocuSign Overview

DocuSign is the global leader in electronic signature and agreement management. Its Agreement Cloud platform enables organizations to prepare, sign, act on, and manage agreements digitally — spanning contracts, approvals, and payment collection. Finix integrates with DocuSign through the Cybersource payment gateway, enabling merchants to collect payments directly within DocuSign envelopes and reconcile transaction data without leaving their agreement workflow.

- Finix Live Account
- Active DocuSign account with DocuSign Payments enabled


## Integration

### Step 1: Sign up for a Finix Account

To create a Finix account, you can follow our step-by-step [guide](/guides/getting-started/finix-sign-up) or [sign up](https://finix.payments-dashboard.com) directly for a live or sandbox account.

We recommend choosing Direct Merchant as your Customer Type.

### Step 2: Create a Cybersource Gateway Integration

Cybersource Integration
Finix supports DocuSign via our Cybersource Gateway integration. Please note that there is an additional fee for using our Cybersource integration.

For more information, please reach out to your Finix point of contact.

1. To create a Cybersource integration, navigate to the Integrations page on your Finix Dashboard.


Cybersource Merchant Integrations
1. Sign up for Cybersource. You can view detailed instructions in our guide, [here](/guides/online-payments/gateway-integration/cybersource#creating-a-cybersource-integration-using-the-dashboard).
2. After accepting the Cybersource invitation email, retrieve the following credentials from the Cybersource Business Center under **Payment Configuration → Key Management** — you'll need these to configure DocuSign:
  - **Merchant ID** (also called Organization ID)
  - **[Simple Order API Key](https://developer.cybersource.com/docs/cybs/en-us/security-keys/user/all/ada/security-keys/keys-manage/keys-simple-order-intro.html)**

### Step 3: Configure the Cybersource Payment Gateway in DocuSign

Before you proceed, ensure you have:

- Approved Finix Merchant Account
- Cybersource Gateway Integration linked to your Finix Merchant Account
- Cybersource credentials from Step 2


In your DocuSign admin:

1. Navigate to **Settings → Payments → Payment Gateways**.
2. Click **Add Payment Gateway** and select **Cybersource**.
3. Enter the following credentials:
  - **Account Name** — a name for the gateway
  - **Merchant ID** — your Cybersource account ID
  - **Transaction Security Key File** — the [Simple Order API](https://developer.cybersource.com/docs/cybs/en-us/security-keys/user/all/ada/security-keys/keys-manage/keys-simple-order-intro.html) `.p12` file you created and downloaded from the Business Center
  - **Effective Password** — the password you created when generating the security key


DocuSign Cybersource Gateway Configuration
1. Save the configuration.
2. Attach the Cybersource gateway to the envelopes where payment collection is required.

After completing configuration, you can now take payments through Finix via our Cybersource Gateway Integration.

## DocuSign Transactions

When you run a transaction on DocuSign, you'll see it:

- In your DocuSign admin under **Reports → Payments**.
- In the Cybersource Business Center.
- In your Finix Dashboard under **Transactions** → **Payments**.
