# SAP Integration

Accept payments with Finix on [SAP](https://www.sap.com).

## SAP Overview

SAP is a global leader in enterprise software, serving the world's largest businesses with S/4HANA ERP, CRM, supply chain, and commerce applications.

### Finix Requirements

- Finix Live Account
- Active SAP landscape (S/4HANA, SAP Commerce Cloud, or related)


## Integration

### Step 1: Sign up for a Finix Account

To create a Finix account, you can follow our step-by-step [guide](/guides/getting-started/finix-sign-up) or [sign up](https://finix.payments-dashboard.com) directly for a live or sandbox account.

We recommend choosing Direct Merchant as your Customer Type.

### Step 2: Create a Cybersource Gateway Integration

Cybersource Integration
Finix supports SAP via our Cybersource Gateway integration. Please note that there is an additional fee for using our Cybersource integration.

1. To create a Cybersource integration, navigate to the Integrations page on your Finix Dashboard.


Cybersource Merchant Integrations
1. Sign up for Cybersource. You can view detailed instructions in our guide, [here](/guides/online-payments/gateway-integration/cybersource#creating-a-cybersource-integration-using-the-dashboard).
2. After accepting the Cybersource invitation email, retrieve your Cybersource Merchant ID and REST API keys from the Cybersource Business Center — you'll need these to configure SAP.


### Step 3: Install the SAP Digital Payments Add-On

Install the SAP Digital Payments Add-On (DPA), which is the cloud-based integration that enables Cybersource processing across SAP applications. Follow SAP's deployment guide for your SAP landscape.

### Step 4: Configure SAP

In your SAP admin:

1. Navigate to **Digital Payments Add-On → Configure Cybersource Connection**.
2. Enter the credentials from your Finix-provisioned Cybersource account:
  - Merchant ID
  - REST API Key ID
  - REST API Shared Secret
3. Select the environment (**Test** for sandbox, **Production** for live).
4. Map SAP payment methods to Cybersource.
5. Save the configuration and transport it to your production SAP system.

### Step 5: Run a Test Transaction

Place a test payment through your SAP dashboard to verify the integration. The payment will route through Cybersource and be captured by Finix for settlement.

## SAP Transactions

When you run a transaction on SAP, you'll see it:

- In your SAP dashboard under the Digital Payments Add-On transaction log.
- In the Cybersource Business Center (transactions appear after 24 hours).
- In your Finix Dashboard under **Transactions** → **Payments**, with the **Integration** field set to `Cybersource`.
