# Update to ACH Settlement Statement Descriptors

Effective April 22, 2026, Finix is updating the Originator Company Name that appears on ACH credit and debit settlement transactions to comply with NACHA rules. This is the name that shows up on your merchants' bank statements to identify who initiated the settlement.

Previously, merchants saw your company's default Statement Descriptor listed as the originator. Going forward, the descriptor will use the following format:

`Finix-Your Statement Descriptor`

For example: `Finix-PARTNER Name`

Please communicate this change to your merchants so they are aware of the updated descriptor on ACH settlement transactions. This change does not impact settlement timing, reporting, or reconciliation processes.

Merchants accepting ACH payments can still set a custom statement descriptor that appears on the end buyer's bank statement. This update only affects how ACH settlement transactions to and from merchant bank accounts are identified.
