# Buyer Fees for Payment Links

You can add buyer fees to payment links to cover the cost of processing payments or accepting cards.

## Supported Buyer Fees

Payment Links support two types of buyer fees. Only one can be applied per transaction.

Only one buyer fee can be applied per transaction.

- **Surcharge Fees**: A fee to offset credit card processing costs. Surcharges apply only to credit cards, not debit or prepaid, cannot exceed 3% for USA merchants or 2.5% for Canadian merchants, and are not allowed in all states. Merchants must be enabled by Finix to process surcharges.
- **Convenience Fees**: A fee for providing an alternative payment channel (e.g., online or by phone). Must be a flat amount.


Note
Surcharges are not supported for ACH transactions.
