# Terminal Not Powering On

Follow these steps to resolve power-related problems with your Finix payment terminal.

## Step-by-Step Troubleshooting Guide

### 1. Check Power Connection

- Ensure that the power cord is properly plugged into both the terminal and the power outlet.
- If using a power strip or surge protector, make sure it's turned on and functioning.


### 2. Charge the Terminal

- Connect the terminal to its power source and allow it to charge for at least 30 minutes.
- Look for any indicators that show the device is charging.


### 3. Attempt Manual Power On

- Hold the power button for at least 3 seconds to attempt powering on the device.
- If successful, allow the terminal to complete its startup process.


### 4. Inspect for Physical Damage

- Check the terminal and power cord for any signs of physical damage.
- Look for bent pins in the charging port or frayed wires on the power cord.
