# Standalone Terminal Experience

Learn about the experience of using your Pax terminal in standalone mode.

We're continually improving our Standalone Mode experience on Finix's Pax terminals, and the latest enhancements provide you with even greater control and streamlined daily operations directly on your terminal. This update brings a refreshed user interface and powerful new features, eliminating the need to constantly switch to the Finix Dashboard for essential tasks.

## Getting Started with the Update

### Supported Terminals

Standalone Terminal is available for the following Pax terminals.

- Pax A800
- Pax A920Pro


### Requirements

The new features require:

- Payment App version 4.0.0 or higher installed on your terminal
  - The App will typically auto-update, but if it doesn't, follow the update steps under How to Update
- Standalone Mode enabled for your terminal


### How to Update

If your terminal hasn't automatically updated, you can manually update by following these steps:

- Open the Pax Store App on your device
- Search for the Payment App
- Select Update
